Ninay + Carlo | San Francisco Wedding Photography

A few weeks ago students from a film school asked if they can do an interview on me for their film project.  I was excited and honored to have someone take intrest in me and my photography.  They wanted to create a short clip of me in action and do a spot light interview to present to their class. We spent about 15 minutes going around their campus with the lovely couple, Ninay + Carlo to do a mock engagement session. I was trying to give this session a San Francisco Wedding Photography feel with the urban and modern backdrops.  Here’s one of my favorites from the shoot.

New Branding!

Change is good! You may have noticed that this new logo has been popping up around Facebook, twitter and my blog.  After four years with the old logo, I felt that it’s time for some change. My style and photography is continually changing and growing and it has certainly evolved from 2-3 years ago.  I hope you are as excited as I am about what is to come with my wedding photography. Cheers!

Lan+Derek | Grant Hotel | San Diego, CA | Wedding Photographer

Wedding Venues: Grant Hotel, San Diego Ca.

Their wedding venue was at The US Grant Hotel in San Diego Ca. The attention to detail for the wedding is impeccable. I shot this San Diego wedding with my boy, Hung C Tran.  One of the famous wedding photographers I know from San Diego, CA.  It seems to me that San Diego weddings have some of the best wedding venues, giving the Los Angeles Wedding venues a run for their money. Great wedding venues such as the US Grant Hotel adds some cookie points since photographing details there are so easy.  Before I say  San Diego weddings and US Grant Hotel any more, here’s one wedding photo as a preview from the wedding day. More wedding photos to come soon!

Natalie+Jay | El Cortez Hotel | San Diego Wedding Photography

I drove down to San Diego to shoot this San Diego Wedding with Hung C Tran.  I must say that I’ve been secretly hoping to shoot a wedding in the rain all year.  It rained pretty hard during this wedding and I got super soaked shooting without an umbrella.  I must say, this is one of the most memorable weddings I’ve shoot all year.  Shooting with Hung C Tran and Marissa Feliciano is nothing short of an adventure.  The rain made for some awesome portraits and dramatic photos at Balboa Park in San Diego.  The bride and groom were extremely good sports for playing in the rain.  They had a beautiful ceremony at Balboa Park’s Spreckels Organ Pavilion.  After the wedding ceremony at Balboa Park we headed to the El Cortez Hotel for the reception. El Cortez is one of San Diego’s premiere wedding Venues. I was really impressed at the wedding decorations at El Cortez. Check out some of my photos from Natalie and Jay’s wedding:

I was not exaggerating when I said I got soaked. Anything for these wedding photos!

Jenn+Peter : Disneyland, California Adventure

This wedding in Disneyland’s California Adventure was absolutely magical.  It was truly a fairy tale wedding for Peter B and Jenn.  They call themselves “PB & J” because they belong together like peanut butter and jelly. Awwwe. 🙂 As I’m sure all of you can imagine, the wedding in Disneyland resembled nothing short of a dream come true for these two love birds. One of the many highlights of the night for me was when the bride and groom surprised their guests with a ride on Soaring Over California.  The ride was exclusively reserved for all of their guests and it definitely was an exciting way to start of their night.

Special thank you to Conrad Lim and Brent Matsuno for coming out to help me with this wedding.
