Soo Youn + Kevin | Seoul, Korea | Destination Wedding Photography

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Seoul, Korea to document a wedding.  It was such an amazing experience to be in Korea for the first time. Although there were so many things that were different compared to the states, there were also many commonalities that we share. The world becomes so much smaller when I get to travel, and I love every minute of it! If I had a diary while in Seoul, each day would include, “I woke up, took pictures, ate the most awesome Korean food ever with kimchi, and walked till my legs were about to fall off”.  Thank you Kevin and SooYoun for such an amazing experience.

Kevin and SooYoun’s love story started while Kevin was stationed with the army in Korea. They met while hanging out at the local bar and the rest led to this wedding.  The wedding consisted of three beautiful wedding dresses, lots of family love, and Kevin dancing to Psy’s Gangnam Style (yes, they really do go crazy with that song over there). Please enjoy a few of my favorites from Korea.

As the groom was waking up, he received this sweet message from his bride.

SooYoun’s emotional reaction to her aunt arriving to her wedding.

I love this moment between the two moms. This was the first time the both of them have ever met and they definitely embraced each other with very warm welcomes and open hearts.

An embrace of relief and happiness after their ceremonies are completed.

  1. When I’m old I want to be like you… Great portfolio! I love the one with the mother driying the sweat from his soon forehead, mothers are all the same in any part of the world, It came to my mind when my mother just to clean my nose when I was a child…
